Jux 2.0 not responding - Sir10Tea - 11-21-2017 For the past day Jux 2.0 does not respond after I change a formula parameter or coloring parameter. Is there a way of troubleshooting this problem? I've created a dump file in task manager. Could this be a way of diagnosing the problem? RE: Jux 2.0 not responding - Garth Thornton - 11-22-2017 Sorry, I can't do anything with a dump file. Is this happening right after opening Jux, with any formula, or only with specific parameters? If it's specific, try saving the parameters before it freezes so I can check them. I have the program working again after a reboot. The rule applies once again: When in doubt, reboot. The program was stalled using a number of different parameters and even when building a fractal from scratch. This happened when I attempted to use one of the lighting presets. RE: Jux 2.0 not responding - Garth Thornton - 11-23-2017 Are you using v2.011 or v2.010? There is a bug in v2.010 where some split materials presets can freeze Jux. RE: Jux 2.0 not responding - Garth Thornton - 12-07-2017 I have now had this happen in v2.011 but until I see it again I don't know what triggered it. It is something in color or lighting (more likely), which use the same set of threads, so crashing one kills the other. |
