The *.map format is simple, but it only holds one gradient, so it would be more convenient to be able to select multiple files to import at once, which complicates the handling a bit.
Which format is *.gradient? I didn't find anything about it yet. I found the PhotoShop *.grd format but that's too complicated to justify at the moment.

Here is an example for the *.gradient Format:

The *.gradient Format can contain multiple Gradients like the *.ugr Format.
Here is another Example for the Gradient Fileformat from Fractal Explorer: [Colors] Palette type=99 ColorOrder=0 Brightness=-48 Contrast=128 Saturation=100 Grayed=0 NewUFpalette=0 IterChanging=0 IterChanging1=0 UFDensity=4 UFmappingMode=3 InfinityRed=0 InfinityGreen=0 InfinityBlue=0 [Standart palette] RedStep=11 RedShift=255 GreenStep=13 GreenShift=-251 BlueStep=8 BlueShift=255 [Linear palette] Red1=0 Red2=255 Green1=0 Green2=255 Blue1=128 Blue2=0 [Parabola palette] Red1=0 Red2=255 Green1=0 Green2=255 Blue1=255 Blue2=0 [Square palette] Red1=0 Red2=128 Green1=0 Green2=0 Blue1=0 Blue2=255 [UF palette] Count=6 Node0x=0 Node0r=0 Node0g=0 Node0b=0 Node1x=111 Node1r=0 Node1g=255 Node1b=255 Node2x=130 Node2r=0 Node2g=0 Node2b=0 Node3x=230 Node3r=255 Node3g=0 Node3b=255 Node4x=251 Node4r=0 Node4g=0 Node4b=0 Node5x=339 Node5r=255 Node5g=255 Node5b=0 This Format can contain only one Gradient like the *.map Format. Thanks, Christian.
If the .gradient format is formally the same as .ugr, that is simple. Which programs use it? The FE gradient looks like too much work.

But which program(s) create .gradient files? I should use the correct name, or is it OK to just call it a Gradient (.gradient) file?

Unfortunatly that i dont know, i only found the Corel Painter gradients-Extension in http://fileinfo.com/extension/gradients, but i dont think, that is the same. Regards, Krisi

Thanks, it matters not since it's convenient to include it as a single option as "UF gradients (*.ugr, *.gradient)". If I ever find out I can mention it in the Help.

Thanks for Implementing this Feature in v.1.401, yesterday i had time to Import my old *.map & *.gradient-Files to Jux, all went well, exept one *.gradient which crashed Jux. I have attached this File for Documentation-Purpose. Regards, Krisi |
