Saving Files with Transparent Backgrounds - bknapp - 08-23-2019 Is there a way to save XenoDream rendersĀ as PNG files or with transparent/no background? RE: Saving Files with Transparent Backgrounds - Garth Thornton - 08-24-2019 Yes. XenoDream doesn't currently have PNG support. The two options are TGA or PSD. TGA is a front layer with alpha channel, and PSD with layers includes the front layer, background and layer masks. To save with layers, all you need to do is have either the Background Mask or Alphablend button down. Alphablend is only enabled if you have rendered with holon opacity less than 100. They work with either background color or background picture. When you apply lighting, it automatically merges with whatever background is chosen in the Lighting window, and releases those buttons, so you need to set the buttons as you want them before saving. (With alpha, you should uncheck the Use Alpha option in lighting before applying, and let the Alphablend masking handle it instead, or you get the transparency doubled up.) RE: Saving Files with Transparent Backgrounds - bknapp - 08-24-2019 Thanks so much, Garth! Much appreciated! --Betsy |
