Dear Garth,

I am a newbie using XenoDream 2.6 running under Windows 7 Pro and slowly working through the “Using XenoDream 2.6” manual.

1 - I created an image with one iterator (Holon # 1) and one constructor (Holon # 2 - Crystal / Quartz).

2 - I manipulated some of the holons' parameters and colored the image. The image is a spiral centered in the Pre-View Window of the Main Window.  Looks good!

Before rendering, is there a way to “crop” the image to get rid of most of the surrounding background, which is empty?

Or, alternatively, enlarge the image (while maintaining the aspect ratio) using the Camera Controls in the View Page?

Thank you!

Doctor T
Yes, there are three ways. You can make the object larger by increasing Object Size (in the panel under the Holon window). This makes the object larger, so is equivalent to moving the camera closer. You can get the same effect by reducing the Z position in the View page. Both of these affect the perspective. The third way is to change Camera Zoom in the View page, which changes the camera field of view without affecting the image in any other way. This is usually the best way unless you want to get more or less depth in the object, in which case you might change both camera zoom and one of the others.
